El Carnaval No Es Alegre – Tiny Desk
«El Carnaval No Es Alegre» (Engl: Carnival is not funny) is a concert without the slightest musical talent, danced by Natalia Fernandes. The setlist travels from the political and historical context of Brazil to the migrant body to a questioning of the concept of home. And all the while, it's also a bit of a carnival. This show is bursting with contradictions!
Brazilian artist Natalia Fernandes has lived in Spain since 2017. After working for various dance companies, she began developing her own projects there. Her work is now a balance between performer, teacher and author.
