I'm fine
🎬 TRAILER
«I’m fine» was the title of a solo show by Norbert, the partner of director and performer Cezary Tomaszewski. In it he spoke lightly and wittily about himself, life, and everyday problems. The title seems innocent until you learn that Norbert died by suicide. Thus, this "I'm fine" is now a tribute to Norbert, a processing of his death, and a call for personal and public responsibility. Despite the destigmatization of mental illness, more people still die by suicide than in traffic accidents. 80% of those who die by suicide are men. Artists are disproportionately affected.
But «I’m fine» is also a celebration of Norbert's life and his artistic work. It is an attempt to carry on as best as possible, but certainly with glamour and creativity.
Cezary Tomaszewski is a director, choreographer, actor and performer. He has worked in many European countries, involved in the preparation of projects from the borderline of genres, with the use of jarring and often subversive artistic strategies. He often takes well-known cultural works like «The Merry Widow» or a songbook and intertwines them with contemporary reality.
On 15.5 there will be an Artist Talk after the performance at Tojo Theater.
