On 22 May, after the performance of The Voice of Fingers, a free shuttle bus will take you from the Dampfzentrale up to the official festival opening in the Zentrum Markus – Beiz. There, from 21:00, we’re inviting you to some food and drinks and a short opening speech. Afterwards, DJ Aunty will provide us with chilled sounds until 1:00 a.m. Aunty is a Bernese producer, singer, sound artist and DJ. In her practice, she moves freely between pop and sound art.

Public transport: Bus route 20 in the direction of Wankdorf, «Markuskirche» stop. Or tram 9 direction Wankdorf to «Parkstrasse», then approx. 8 minutes on foot.

The festival opening is accessible without the visual layer. Zentrum Markus is equipped with tactile ground surface indicators. If you attend the event with a service dog, you can of course bring it into the hall.

Relaxed Performance

The opening is relaxed. The audience is allowed to come and go as they like. Zentrum Markus – Beiz is equipped with different seating options. After the speech, DJ Aunty will be playing music.

There is a Relaxed Space where you can retreat to at any time. It’s open whenever the Bar is open. There you will find some beanbags, mats, blankets, cushions, dimmed light and sensory tools. The Relaxed Space is signposted.  

For people with mobility disabilities

Das Zentrum Markus ist barrierefrei zugänglich. Der hintere Teil des Saals ist durch eine Rampe zugänglich. Das barrierefreie WC befindet sich im Zentrum Markus im Annex. Der Schlüssel für das Gebäude ist in der Beiz erhältlich.
