This has never happened before at auawirleben! We are moving the heart of our festival to a church building. The Markuskirche in Bern's northern quarter is currently being used temporarily and will be our home for a fortnight. The Zentrum Markus – Beiz (the church) houses a kitchen and bar, a cosy lounge with a book corner, a relaxed space / quiet room, as well as various theatre productions, concerts and DJs. The Zentrum Markus – Annex (the parish hall) is the venue for various theatre productions, a podium and installations.

The Zentrum Markus is the place to be! For you, the audience, as well as for the aua team and all the festival artists. This is where you meet to enjoy a good drink and a delicious snack before or after the performance. Or you can simply have a nice chat, have a look around and chill out in this cosy place. Everyone is welcome!
