Kino Rex

Film art and cinema culture in all its facets: This is what the REX cinema stands for, the new venue of the former Kunstmuseum cinema since October 2015.

In the form of retrospectives, retrospectives, cycles and series, Kino REX focuses on outstanding filmmakers, film-historical eras, national cinematographies, genres, developments in film technology and the interplay between film and art. The focus of Kino REX is international, but at the same time Swiss film and Bernese filmmaking are given a special place. With its arthouse premieres, the REX cinema also expands the diversity of current cinema offerings. A detailed programme booklet as well as introductions and discussions in the cinema accompany the films and communicate them to the audience.

The REX works closely with the Kellerkino cinema.
