The festival centre ‘in transformation’ (intra)

A lot has changed at Bollwerk in recent years. With a lot of commitment and voluntary work, the former techno club Kapitel, which was run with a lot of love for curation and club gastronomy, has grown into the association-based cultural institution «in transformation», or intra for short. Concerts and dance performances have been taking place here since 2021, literarture formats have been established, and weekly film screenings and regular panel talks have been introduced. The name says it all, the venue is transforming itself and has opened up more to collaborations since last year, offering space and visibility to those who have not yet had enough access to the stage: Newcomers, communities, marginalised groups of people, artists passing through. The main mission of intra is the in-depth treatment of socio-cultural, geopolitical and social topics through interdisciplinary art and cultural formats as well as club culture.
